Doris A. Finney born on November 25, 1963 in Fort Worth, Texas:   During the 1960’s through the 1980’s Dorise spent much of her years moving from Texas to California to San Francisco to Saginaw Michigan and back to California. Dorise was molested at the age of 2 which continued until she was 14 by her step-father who later died a horrible death.

During a summer stay with her biological father at age 8 she was physically abused by her step-mother who, rapped and gagged her, tied her feet and hands and would lock her in closets.  This would cause psychological damage over the years resulting in bad relationships, drug addition and a promiscuous lifestyle, until…….

She found Christ at age 18 while attending Ephesians Church of God in Christ in Los Angelas California, pastored by Elmer Cleveland Jr. who Dorise greately loved and respected. He was responsible for teaching her the way of God more perfectly.  After receiving prophesies by many that she would be great one day, and that God was going to use her in the last days her course was set.

George Jack McDonald, the Youth Pastor of Ephesians COGIC, played a vital role in the course of her life.  Through his help and devoted love Dorise began preaching , street witnessing and ministring by way of radio.

Over the years Dorise began to yearn to do more for God and as life toils overtook her she began writing for comfort to ease her past pains; this is when she realized poetry was her voice of relief she began to receive her healing through writing.
